Cobalt Civil was founded in 1978 as Culy Construction & Excavating.

Culy was rebranded as Cobalt Civil in 2018. As of April 2019, Cobalt Civil has returned to be a locally owned company out of Winchester, Indiana.  Cobalt Civil has worked within the electric utility industry as a go-to provider of civil utility services for more than a decade.
